Introduction

Pain you have learned to live with is still worth looking at.

Most people arrive here after months of managing something — a knee that clicks on the stairs, a back that tightens by Thursday, a shoulder that no longer reaches the top shelf. Orthopedics is the study of how bones, joints, muscles and ligaments work together, and what to do when one of them stops cooperating.

Our approach is conservative first. We examine, we explain what is actually happening, and we start with the least invasive option that will work. Imaging and surgery are tools, not starting points.

Why this department

What patients notice.

Conservative first

We start with the least invasive option that will work, and say so plainly when surgery is not needed.

Imaging in the building

X-ray and ultrasound on site, so diagnosis does not mean a second trip across Deira.

Explained properly

You leave knowing what is wrong, what the plan is, and what should change by your next visit.

Follow-up built in

Recovery is tracked, not assumed. Treatment is adjusted when it is not doing what it should.

Treatment appropriate to the diagnosis, explained clearly.

05

Common questions

Before you book.

Do I need a referral to see an orthopedic specialist?

No. You can book directly with the orthopedic department. If you would rather be assessed generally first, start with general medicine and they will refer you internally.

Will I need an X-ray on my first visit?

Not always. Your doctor examines you first and requests imaging only when the result will change what happens next. X-ray and ultrasound are available in the building if needed.

How long does an orthopedic consultation take?

Plan for around 30 minutes. Arrive roughly 15 minutes before your appointment time so registration is complete before your slot starts.

Is orthopedic treatment covered by insurance?

It depends on your policy. Send your insurance details to the front desk on WhatsApp before your visit and they will confirm your eligibility and any co-payment in advance.

What should I bring?

Your original Emirates ID, your insurance card, and any previous scans, X-rays or reports relating to the same problem — even old ones. They save time and sometimes save a repeat scan.
