The difference

Premium, non-surgical aesthetics, after a doctor has looked at your skin.

Aesthetic treatment is not hard to find in Dubai. Aesthetic treatment that starts with a medical assessment, sits under the same roof as a dermatology department, and gets declined when it is not appropriate — that is rarer.

Sometimes the outcome of a consultation is a treatment plan. Sometimes it is a referral to dermatology. Both are legitimate results.

Common questions

Before you book.

Do I need a consultation before treatment?

Yes, without exception. It is how we establish what will work for your skin and rule out anything that should be treated medically first.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends entirely on the treatment and your skin. You will be given a realistic number at the consultation, before you commit.

Will there be downtime?

It varies by treatment. Some have none; others need a few days. Your doctor will tell you exactly what to expect so you can plan around it.

Is aesthetic treatment covered by insurance?

Cosmetic treatment is generally excluded from insurance policies. Medical dermatology often is not. The front desk can confirm which category applies.

What if the treatment I want is not right for me?

You will be told. Being talked out of a treatment that will not deliver what you want is a better outcome than paying for one that does not.

Can I combine aesthetic treatment with dermatology?

Frequently, yes — and it is often the better sequence. Both departments are in the same building.

A note on expectations. No aesthetic treatment produces a guaranteed result, and anyone promising one is not being straight with you. What you will get here is an honest assessment of what is likely, over what timeframe, and at what cost.
